Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the sirloin steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before slicing.

Braised Potatoes

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cube the Yukon Gold potatoes into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 5

    Braised Cooking

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the cubed potatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes until slightly golden.

  3. 6

    Add Liquid and Seasonings

Pour in the chicken broth, add rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

Cooking the Vegetable

  1. 7

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the green beans and wash them under cold water.

  2. 8

    Cook the Green Beans

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the green beans, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until the beans are tender yet crisp.
