Method

Fried Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.

  2. 2

    Coat the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp in the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

  3. 3

    Fry the Shrimp

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Catfish

  1. 4

    Prepare the Catfish

In a bowl, mix cornmeal, salt, and cayenne pepper. Pour buttermilk into a separate bowl.

  2. 5

    Coat the Catfish

Dip each catfish fillet into the buttermilk, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture, ensuring complete coverage.

  3. 6

    Fry the Catfish

Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the catfish until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Stuffed Shrimp

  1. 7

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix crab meat, breadcrumbs, cream cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 8

    Stuff the Shrimp

Take a shrimp and place a spoonful of the crab mixture on top. Use another shrimp to cover the filling, pressing gently to seal.

  3. 9

    Fry the Stuffed Shrimp

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the stuffed shrimp until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

French Fries

  1. 10

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 11

    Fry the Fries

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot over medium-high heat. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
