In a fine-mesh strainer, rinse the long-grain white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Set aside.

Cook the Meat
In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, add the ground beef and ground pork. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Incorporate Chicken Liver (if using)
If using, add the chicken liver to the skillet. Cook for another 5 minutes until the liver is browned and cooked through.

Stir in the salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Mix well to combine all the flavors.
