Espresso Martini Base
Method
Preparation
- 1
Brew the Espresso
Prepare 2 oz of freshly brewed espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker. Allow it to cool slightly.
- 2
Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the freshly brewed espresso, 1.5 oz of Cathead Hoodoo Vodka, 1 oz of Baileys Irish Cream, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the shaker with ice cubes, ensuring there’s enough to chill the mixture thoroughly.
- 4
Shake
Secure the lid of the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled and frothy.
- 5
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass using a fine mesh strainer to achieve a smooth, frothy top.
- 6
Garnish (Optional)
If desired, garnish with a few coffee beans or a light dusting of cocoa powder on top for an elegant touch.
