Method

Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Add the steaks to the hot skillet along with crushed garlic cloves. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into equal-sized chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water.

  2. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Add a teaspoon of salt and cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender.

  3. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, minced garlic cloves, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Asparagus

  1. 8

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus and trim the woody ends.

  2. 9

    Cook the Asparagus

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add asparagus, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still crisp.
