In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of brown sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat and let it cool.

Once the simple syrup has cooled, transfer it to a clean glass jar or bottle. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Prepare the Cocktail
In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of Howler Head Banana Bourbon, 0.5 oz of brown sugar simple syrup, and 2 dashes each of chocolate bitters and pecan bitters.

Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes (about 1 cup) and stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of orange peel, expressing the oils over the drink before placing it in the glass.
