Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash and dice the ripe tomatoes into small cubes. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Garlic
Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves, then add to the bowl with the diced tomatoes.

Incorporate Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves roughly and add them to the bowl.

Season the Mixture
Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the tomato mixture, then sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix everything gently until well combined.

Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices on a diagonal.

Add Garlic Flavor
Once the bread is grilled, take a garlic clove and rub it lightly over one side of each slice for an extra burst of flavor.

Spoon the prepared tomato mixture generously onto the grilled side of each slice of baguette.

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and drizzle with a little more olive oil if desired. Serve immediately.
