  1. 1

    Make the crust

In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups Oreo crumbs with 6 tablespoons melted unsalted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie pan to form a firm crust. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to set.

  2. 2

    Soften ice cream and layer

Let 6 cups vanilla bean ice cream sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes to soften. Scoop the softened ice cream and spread it in an even layer over the chilled crust. Use a spatula to smooth the top.

  3. 3

    Freeze the dessert

Return the pie to the freezer and freeze until the ice cream layer is firm, about 2.5 hours.

  4. 4

    Add chocolate drizzle

Drizzle 0.5 cup chocolate sauce over the frozen ice cream layer in a decorative pattern.

  5. 5

    Top with whipped cream

Pipe or dollop 1 cup whipped cream around the top and/or edges of the dessert.

  6. 6

    Finish with nuts

Sprinkle 0.5 cup crushed nuts over the whipped cream to finish the magpie look.

  7. 7

    Serve

Let the Pie sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Cut into 8 wedges and serve.
