KID'S MENU

  1. 1

    Prep patties

Season both mini patties with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Make crossing cheese triangles

Trim cheddar cheese slices into four triangles (two triangles per slice) to create an X when arranged on the patty.

  3. 3

    Prep buns and condiments

Mix mayonnaise with a tiny touch of mustard if desired. Slice tomatoes and wash lettuce leaves; keep pickles ready.

  4. 4

    Toast buns

Lightly butter the cut sides of the slider buns and toast in a skillet until golden.

  5. 5

    Cook patties

Cook patties in a skillet over medium heat about 2-3 minutes per side for mini patties, until browned and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Melt cheese

Place a cheddar slice on each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.

  7. 7

    Assemble base

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun. Layer lettuce leaf, tomato slice, and pickle slices on the mayo.

  8. 8

    Add first patty

Place the first cheese-melted patty on the bottom bun stack.

  9. 9

Add second patty and cheese X

Place the second patty on top. Arrange the two cheese triangles in an X over the center of the second patty to create the 'crossing' look.

  10. 10

    Top and serve

Place the top bun on and serve as a fun Crossing Hamburger.
