Cookie Dough

Ice Cream for Serving

Method

  1. 1

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

  2. 2

In a separate large bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.

  3. 3

Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract; mix until smooth.

  4. 4

Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.

  5. 5

Cover the dough and refrigerate for 5-10 minutes to help with scooping (optional).

Bake half-baked cookies

  1. 6

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. 7

Scoop dough into 1.5-tablespoon mounds (about 1.5 inches apart) onto the prepared sheets.

  3. 8

Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are set and centers still look soft and underbaked.

  4. 9

Remove cookies from oven and let rest on the sheet for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Serve with ice cream

  1. 10

Place a warm, half-baked cookie on a plate and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream next to or on top.

  2. 11

If desired, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky salt.
