Yorkshire Pudding

Method

Prime Rib Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Roast

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). In a small bowl, mix the black pepper, rosemary, minced garlic, olive oil, and salt. Rub this mixture all over the prime rib roast.

  2. 2

    Roasting

Place the seasoned roast in a roasting pan and roast for 20 minutes. Then, reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. Let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.

Glazed Roots Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Glaze

In a large saucepan, combine carrots and parsnips with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 4

    Glaze the Roots

Add honey, butter, salt, and pepper to the pot with the roots. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the vegetables are glazed and heated through.

Roasted Garlic Whipped Potatoes Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large pot, boil the cubed potatoes until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain.

  2. 6

    Whip the Potatoes

In a mixing bowl, combine the drained potatoes, roasted garlic, butter, heavy cream, and salt. Mash and whip until smooth and creamy.

Yorkshire Pudding Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare Batter

In a bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, and salt until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

  2. 8

    Bake Yorkshire Pudding

Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Pour vegetable oil into a muffin tin and place in the oven until the oil is very hot. Carefully pour the batter into the hot oil-filled muffin cups and bake for about 20 minutes, or until puffed and golden.
