Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Croissants
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Slice the croissants in half horizontally without cutting all the way through.
- 2
Layer the Ingredients
Spread a little butter on the inside of each croissant. Layer the grandfather ham evenly on the bottom half of each croissant. Add a generous amount of aged cheddar cheese on top of the ham.
- 3
Season and Add Mustard
Sprinkle black pepper over the cheese for added flavor. If desired, spread a thin layer of mustard on the top half of the croissant.
- 4
Toast the Croissants
Close the croissants and place them on a baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
- 5
Serve
Remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and serve warm.
