Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

In a large pot, combine water, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.

  2. 2

    Cook the Brisket

Submerge the corned beef brisket in the boiling mixture, reduce heat to low, and simmer for about 2.5 to 3 hours or until tender.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the brisket is cooking, chop the cabbage into wedges and the carrots into chunks. Wash the new potatoes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

In a separate pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the cabbage, new potatoes, and carrots, and sauté for about 15-20 minutes until tender.

  5. 5

    Slice the Brisket

Once the brisket is cooked, remove it from the pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the sliced brisket alongside the sautéed vegetables and serve with horseradish mustard on the side.
