Burger Preparation
- 1
Make the Sausage Patty
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, ground chicken, minced chipotle peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
- 3
Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
- 4
Fry the Eggs
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and crack the eggs into the skillet. Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 2-3 minutes.
- 5
Assemble the Burgers
Place each sausage patty on the bottom half of a bun. Top with a fried egg and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
