Brioche Bread Pudding
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Bread Pudding
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the brioche bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Mix the Custard
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- 3
Combine and Add Nuts and Chocolate
Pour the custard mixture over the brioche cubes, ensuring all the bread is soaked. Gently fold in the candied pecans and chocolate chips.
- 4
Bake
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
- 5
Make the Chocolate Bourbon Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine the bourbon, chocolate chips, and cocoa powder. Heat over low heat, stirring until the chocolate is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 6
Serve
Allow the bread pudding to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle the chocolate bourbon sauce over each serving.
