Bangers and Mash Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot, cover with water, add a teaspoon of salt, and boil until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausages

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the pork sausages for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned and cooked through.

  3. 3

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, add diced onion and cook until softened. Sprinkle with flour, stirring for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the beef broth, stirring until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and milk, then mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Serve

Place a generous scoop of mashed potatoes on a plate, top with the sausages, and drizzle the onion gravy over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley.
