Fried Banana Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bananas
Peel the ripe bananas and slice them diagonally into about 1/2 inch thick pieces.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water while whisking until you achieve a smooth batter consistency.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping a small amount of batter into it; if it sizzles and rises to the surface, it's ready.
Frying Directions
- 4
Coat the Bananas
Dip each banana slice into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated.
- 5
Fry the Bananas
Carefully place the coated banana slices in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Drain Excess Oil
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried bananas from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serving Directions
- 7
Serve with Honey
Drizzle the fried bananas with honey before serving. Enjoy them warm as a delicious snack or dessert!
