Cauliflower
Smoky Cocktail Sauce
Method
Preparation of Cauliflower
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help the cauliflower achieve a nice golden brown color and crispy texture.
- 2
Prepare the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it into florets. Make sure to keep them roughly the same size for even roasting.
- 3
Season the Cauliflower
In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.
- 4
Roast the Cauliflower
Spread the seasoned cauliflower florets in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and tender, flipping halfway through.
Preparation of Smoky Cocktail Sauce
- 5
Mix the Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, hot sauce, and lemon juice. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- 6
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the cocktail sauce and adjust the seasoning if necessary. You can add more hot sauce for extra heat or more lemon juice for acidity.
Serving
- 7
Plate and Serve
Once the cauliflower is roasted and golden, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve the cauliflower warm alongside the smoky cocktail sauce for dipping.
