Method
Chicken Strips Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Rinse the chicken tenderloins under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken tenderloin first into the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is well coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of bread into it; if it sizzles, the oil is ready.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Strips
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain the Chicken
Remove the chicken strips from the oil and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serving Preparation
- 7
Prepare French Fries
Cook the French fries according to package instructions or fry fresh potatoes until golden brown and crispy.
- 8
Toast the Texas Toast
Toast the Texas toast slices in a toaster or on a skillet until golden and crispy.
- 9
Plate the Dish
Serve the chicken strips alongside the hot French fries and Texas toast. Offer a choice of dipping sauce on the side.
