Method
For the Chicken Parmesan
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Set up a dredging station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Dip each chicken breast first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with the bread crumb mixture.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- 4
Bake with Marinara and Cheese
Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
For the Spaghetti
- 5
Cook the Spaghetti
While the chicken is baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- 6
Heat Marinara Sauce
In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through.
- 7
Combine and Serve
Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and toss it with the warmed marinara sauce. Serve the spaghetti alongside the chicken parmesan, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
