Method
Preparing Taco Filling
Cook the Meat
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground chicken or beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spoon.
Season the Meat
Add the taco seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the meat is fully cooked and the flavors are well blended.
Making Salsa
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, fresh cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
Making Guacamole
Add Flavorings
Add lime juice, minced garlic, salt, diced tomatoes, and fresh cilantro to the mashed avocado. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
Assembling Tacos
Fill Taco Shells
Warm the taco shells according to package instructions. Fill each taco shell with a generous amount of the cooked meat mixture.
Add Toppings
Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese. Serve with salsa and guacamole on the side.
