Prepare Ingredients
Gather all ingredients including corned beef, marbled rye bread, Swiss cheese, Thousand Island dressing, and optional ingredients like butter and sauerkraut.

Heat Sauerkraut (Optional)
If using sauerkraut, drain and heat it in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm. Set aside.
Assembly and Cooking

Spread Dressing
Spread a generous amount of Thousand Island dressing on one side of each slice of marbled rye bread.

Layer Ingredients
On two slices of the bread (dressing side up), layer the corned beef, Swiss cheese, and warm sauerkraut (if using). Top with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.

Butter the Bread
Spread butter on the outer sides of the sandwiches for grilling.

Flip and Grill
Carefully flip the sandwiches and grill the other side for another 4-5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
Serving

Slice and Serve
Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately with additional Thousand Island dressing on the side, if desired.
