Prepare the Glass
Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of a chilled cocktail glass to moisten it.

Salt the Rim
Dip the rim of the glass into a plate of coarse salt, ensuring an even coating. Set the glass aside.

Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup.

Shake
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, being careful not to disturb the salt rim.
