Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or longer depending on your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to help them become crispier when fried.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) over medium-high heat.

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Fry the soaked potato strips in batches, cooking for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.

  5. 9

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, season them with salt to taste.
