Preparation

1

Prepare the Fruits

Wash the fresh plums and cherries. Cut the plums in half, remove the pits, and chop them into small pieces. Ensure the cherries are pitted and halved if you prefer smaller pieces.

2

Melt the Chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

Batter Preparation

3

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

4

Combine Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted chocolate mixture, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add the chopped plums and cherries to the mixture.

5

Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Baking

6

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

7

Bake the Mixture

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8

Cool and Serve

Once baked, allow the dish to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
