Method

Wings Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Coat the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the mixture until they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Wings

Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce and stir to combine.

  6. 6

    Toss the Wings

In a large bowl, combine the fried wings and the hot sauce mixture. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.

Blue Cheese Dressing Preparation

  1. 7

    Mix the Dressing

In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, crumbled blue cheese, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.

  2. 8

    Chill the Dressing

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
