Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Turkey Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the turkey patties on the grill. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place an ounce of Wisconsin cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover the grill or skillet to help the cheese melt.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Toppings

While the patties are cooking, wash and dry the lettuce. Slice the tomato and red onion. Set aside the pickles.

  5. 5

    Toast the Pretzel Rolls

In a separate skillet or on the grill, lightly butter the pretzel rolls and toast them for 1-2 minutes until they are golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted pretzel roll, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked turkey patty with melted cheddar, and top with tomato slices, red onion, and pickles. Spread the tap house sauce on the top half of the pretzel roll.

  2. 7

    Serve

Close the burgers with the top half of the pretzel roll and serve immediately with your favorite side, such as fries or a salad.
