Prepare Falafel

Soak Chickpeas
Soak the canned chickpeas in water for at least 1 hour. Drain and rinse before use.

Blend Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the soaked chickpeas, parsley, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is coarse and well combined.

Form Falafel Balls
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix in the flour. Form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1 to 2 inches in diameter.

Fry Falafel
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Carefully add the falafel balls in batches, frying until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Sauce

Mix Yogurt Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the plain yogurt and harissa paste. Mix well until smooth and set aside.
Assemble the Pita

Prepare Pita
Warm the pita bread in a toaster or briefly on a skillet to make it pliable.

Serve the falafel pita immediately while warm, with extra sauce on the side if desired.
