Method

Prepare the Tap House Sauce

  1. 1

    Mix the Sauce Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and well combined. Set aside.

Cook the Bacon

  1. 2

    Crisp the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood bacon slices until they are crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Make the Patties

  1. 3

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground Angus beef into 2 equal portions (about 8 ounces each). Shape each portion into a ball and then flatten into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet used for the bacon, increase the heat to high. Add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the Spanish onion into thin rings and prepare the cherry peppers and pickles as desired.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Build the Double Tap

On the bottom half of each burger bun, spread a generous amount of the tap house sauce. Place one cooked Angus patty on top, followed by 2 slices of crispy bacon, a handful of cherry peppers, a few pickle slices, and some Spanish onion rings. Top with the second Angus patty and the top half of the bun.
