Method

Cook the Tots

    Prepare the Tots

    Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the package of frozen potato tots.

    Bake the Tots

    Spread the frozen potato tots on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil. Toss to coat evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.

Cook the Bacon

    Prepare the Bacon

    While the tots are baking, cook the bacon. In a skillet over medium heat, add the bacon strips.

    Crisp the Bacon

    Cook the bacon for about 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.

Make the Ranch Dust

    Combine Ingredients

    In a small bowl, mix together the dried ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Assemble the Fancy Tots

    Once the potato tots are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately sprinkle the ranch dust mixture over the hot tots.

    Crumble the crispy bacon over the topped tots.
