Legend Sauce

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine 1 pound of Angus ground beef with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper. Form into two equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they reach your desired doneness.

Cooking the Toppings

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook 4 slices of applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Fry the Eggs

In the same skillet, crack 2 large eggs and fry to your preference (sunny side up recommended).

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking the patties, place 2 slices of Wisconsin cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

  4. 6

    Prepare the Onions and Pickles

Shave the medium raw onion and prepare 1 cup of pickles for serving.

Making the Tots

  1. 7

    Cook Tater Tots

Prepare 1 pound of frozen tater tots according to package instructions until golden and crispy.

  2. 8

    Season the Tots

Once cooked, sprinkle with 2 tbs of ranch seasoning and 1 cup of bacon bits while still hot.

Preparing the Dip

  1. 9

    Mix the Dip

In a bowl, combine 8 oz of cream cheese, 1 tbs maple syrup, 1 tbs bourbon, and 4 slices of diced smoked bacon. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Making the Legend Sauce

  1. 10

    Combine the Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 tbs of ketchup, 1 tbs of hot sauce, and 1 tsp of garlic powder.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 11

    Build the Burger

On a toasted bun, layer the cooked patties with shaved onion, pickles, the melted cheese, crispy bacon, and the fried egg.

  2. 12

    Serve with Tots and Dip

Plate the burger alongside the ranch-dusted tater tots and serve with the smoked maple bacon bourbon dip.
