Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Bacon

  1. 3

    Fry the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and let drain on paper towels.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 4

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet used for the bacon, increase the heat to medium-high and cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding the cheddar cheese slice on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Prepare the House Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix the Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish. Stir until well mixed.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Build the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half of each bun, spread a portion of the house sauce. Add the lettuce leaves, cooked burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, and slices of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
