Method
Pancakes
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 2
Add Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; lumps are okay.
- 3
Cook the Pancakes
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter. Pour 1/3 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Cinnamon Butter

Make the Cinnamon Butter
In a bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon together until creamy and well combined. Set aside.
Caramel Sauce

Prepare the Caramel Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns a golden brown color. Stir continuously to avoid burning. Once melted, add the butter and stir until combined. Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring continuously until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
