Preparation

Brewing the Tea

1. Boil Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

2. Steep Tea Bags

Once the water is boiling, remove from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor.

3. Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags from the pot. If you prefer sweetened tea, add your choice of sweetener (sugar or honey) while the tea is still warm, stirring until fully dissolved.

Cooling and Flavoring

4. Cool the Tea

Let the brewed tea come to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until completely chilled.

5. Add Lemon and Mint

Once chilled, stir in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and add mint leaves to taste if desired.

Serving

6. Prepare Glasses

Fill a glass with ice cubes to your liking.

7. Pour Tea

Pour the chilled tea over the ice-filled glass.

8. Garnish

Garnish with lemon slices and additional mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
