Directions
- 1
Prepare the Oranges
Select 6 ripe, juicy oranges. Ensure they are fresh and firm to the touch for the best juice extraction.
- 2
Wash the Oranges
Rinse the oranges under cool running water to remove any dirt or pesticides. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
- 3
Cut the Oranges
Using a sharp knife, cut each orange in half horizontally. This will make it easier to extract the juice.
- 4
Juicing the Oranges
Using a manual citrus juicer or an electric juicer, place each half of the orange cut-side down and press down to extract the juice. Collect the juice in a large measuring cup or bowl.
- 5
Strain the Juice (Optional)
If you prefer pulp-free juice, pour the extracted juice through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove any pulp and seeds.
- 6
Sweeten the Juice (Optional)
If desired, stir in 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar to the juice. Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.
- 7
Serve
Pour the freshly squeezed orange juice into glasses over ice cubes if desired. Serve immediately for the best flavor.
