Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Peel and slice the ginger root into thin slices, approximately 1/8 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Measure Tea and Add Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the organic green tea leaves, sliced ginger root, and dried orange peel.

Brewing

  1. 3

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

  2. 4

    Steep the Mixture

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the tea mixture. Steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on desired strength.

  3. 5

    Add Flavorings

After steeping, add the natural ginger, orange, and peach flavors to the tea. Stir well to combine.

Finishing

  1. 6

    Strain the Tea

Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea into a teapot or serving jug to remove the solid ingredients.

  2. 7

    Add Floral Components

Add the dried chamomile flowers and dried hibiscus petals to the strained tea, allowing them to steep for an additional 3 minutes.

  3. 8

    Sweeten (Optional)

If desired, add honey or agave syrup to taste and stir until dissolved.

  4. 9

    Serve

Pour the Citrus Ginger Green Tea into cups and enjoy hot, or allow it to cool and serve over ice for a refreshing iced tea.
