Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Add Chamomile Flowers

Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and add 2 tablespoons of chamomile flowers to the water.

  3. 3

    Steep the Tea

Cover the saucepan with a lid and let the chamomile flowers steep in the hot water for about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea into a teapot or directly into cups, separating the chamomile flowers from the liquid.

  5. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If desired, stir in 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice for added flavor. Adjust to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Pour the chamomile tea into cups and enjoy it warm. You can also chill it in the refrigerator for iced chamomile tea.
