Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Penne
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Sauté Prosciutto and Garlic
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped prosciutto and sauté until crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- 3
Add Snow Peas and Tomatoes
Stir in the snow peas and crushed tomatoes. Cook until the snow peas are tender, about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Incorporate Vodka
Pour in the vodka and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off.
- 5
Finish with Cream and Basil
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and chopped basil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 6
Combine Pasta with Sauce
Add the cooked penne to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
- 7
Serve
Divide the Penne con Vodka among plates and garnish with additional basil if desired. Enjoy!
