Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pappardelle according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the tomato sauce and vodka to the skillet, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Cream and Peas

Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream and frozen peas. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until the peas are heated through.

  5. 5

    Season the Sauce

Add the chopped basil, salt, and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

  6. 6

    Toss Pasta with Sauce

Add the cooked pappardelle to the sauce, tossing gently to coat the pasta evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and extra basil if desired.
