Preparation

  1. 1

Wash and Prepare the Chinese Broccoli

Rinse the Chinese broccoli under cold water to remove any dirt. Trim off the ends of the stems and cut the broccoli into 2-inch pieces.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garlic and Ginger

Peel and mince the garlic and ginger, setting them aside for use in the stir-fry.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sugar. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 4

    Stir-fry the Chinese Broccoli

In a large pan or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Add the Chinese Broccoli

Add the prepared Chinese broccoli to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until it becomes bright green and tender-crisp.

  4. 6

    Add the Sauce

Pour the sauce over the stir-fried Chinese broccoli and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the pan from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds and chili flakes over the dish. Serve warm as a side dish.
