Shrimp

Cajun Aioli

Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Rinse the Templar black tiger shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Ensure that they are deveined and shell-on or shell-off based on your preference.

  2. 2

    Season the Shrimp

In a mixing bowl, toss the cleaned shrimp with olive oil, paprika, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque.

Making the Cajun Aioli

  1. 4

    Prepare the Aioli

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and Dijon mustard.

  2. 5

    Season the Aioli

Mix the ingredients well and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust spices according to preference.

  3. 6

    Chill the Aioli

Cover the aioli with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Once the shrimp are cooked and the aioli is ready, serve the shrimp on a platter with a generous dollop of Cajun aioli on the side for dipping.
