Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Cheese Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Roux

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  2. 3

    Add Milk

Slowly whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook, whisking frequently, until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble.

  3. 4

    Incorporate Cheeses

Reduce heat to low, then add the cheddar cheese, Gruyère cheese, and cream cheese. Stir until the cheeses are completely melted and the sauce is smooth.

  4. 5

    Season the Sauce

Add salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well to combine all the flavors.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Lobster

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and the chopped lobster meat. Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta and lobster, and stir until evenly coated.

Baking

  1. 7

    Prepare Topping

In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter.

  2. 8

    Bake the Dish

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the breadcrumb topping evenly over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
