Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Apples

Wash and dry the Fuji apples thoroughly. Remove any stems, and if desired, you can slice them into halves or quarters for easier handling.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Pecan Topping

Chop the pecans into small pieces and set aside for later use.

Melting Chocolate and Caramel

  1. 3

    Melt the Caramel

In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the caramel sauce in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and continue heating in 15-second intervals until fully melted and smooth.

  2. 4

    Melt the Dark Chocolate

In another microwave-safe bowl, heat the dark chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir and continue heating in 15-second intervals until fully melted and smooth.

  3. 5

    Melt the White Chocolate

In a separate microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate chips similarly by heating for 30 seconds and stirring until fully melted.

Assembling the Apples

  1. 6

    Dip in Caramel

Dip each Fuji apple into the melted caramel, ensuring it is fully coated. Allow excess caramel to drip off.

  2. 7

    Coat with Pecans

Immediately after dipping in caramel, roll the apples in the chopped pecans to coat them evenly.

  3. 8

    Dip in Dark Chocolate

Next, dip the caramel-coated apples in the melted dark chocolate, making sure to cover the pecan layer.

  4. 9

    Drizzle with White Chocolate

Using a fork or a piping bag, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate-covered apples for a decorative touch.

  5. 10

    Sprinkle Sea Salt

Sprinkle sea salt on top of the apples to enhance the flavors.

Cooling and Serving

  1. 11

    Cool the Apples

Place the dipped apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let them cool at room temperature until the chocolate and caramel set. This may take about 30 minutes.

  2. 12

    Serve

Once set, serve the Fuji apples on a platter. Optionally, garnish with additional chopped pecans for decoration.
