Method
Main Dish
- 1
Prepare the Roast Beef
In a bowl, mix the beef broth, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Cook the Roast Beef
Place the roast beef in a slow cooker or a pot, and pour the broth mixture over it. Cook on low heat for about 4-5 hours, or until the beef is tender.
- 3
Slice the Bread
While the beef is cooking, toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Open Face Plate
Once the beef is cooked, slice it thinly and place it on top of the toasted bread slices. Spoon some of the cooking broth over the top.
French Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to make fries.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F).
- 7
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying them until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- 8
Season the Fries
Remove the fries from the oil, place them on a paper towel to drain, and sprinkle with salt to taste.
Salad
- 9
Prepare the Vegetables
Wash and chop the lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber into bite-sized pieces.
- 10
Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
- 11
Assemble the Salad
In a salad bowl, combine the chopped vegetables and drizzle the dressing over the top. Toss gently to combine.
