Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients: ham, cheese, and seasonings. Cut the cheese into slices or cubes for easier melting.

Boiling

2

Boil the Water

In a large pot, add 1 liter of water and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.

3

Add the Ham

Once the water is boiling, add the ham to the pot. Ensure that the ham is fully submerged in the water.

4

Season the Water

Add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to the boiling water.

5

Cook the Ham

Reduce the heat to medium and let the ham boil for about 15-20 minutes until heated through.

Final Steps

6

Add the Cheese

During the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the cheese to the pot with the ham. Allow it to melt into the water.

7

Serve

Once the ham and cheese are cooked, carefully remove them from the pot. Serve hot with mustard on the side for dipping, if desired.
