Method

Grilling the Chicken

1

Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form a marinade.

2

Marinate the Chicken

Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

3

Preheat the Grill

While the chicken is marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).

4

Grill the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken on the preheated grill. Grill for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

5

Rest the Chicken

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Sides

6

Steam the Broccoli

In a steaming pot or basket, add water and bring it to a boil. Place the broccoli in the steamer, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green.

7

Make the Mashed Potatoes

Boil peeled and chopped potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper to taste until smooth.

Serving

8

Prepare the French Bread

Slice the French bread into individual servings and optionally toast it on the grill for a few minutes until crispy.

9

Plate the Meal

On a plate, serve the grilled chicken along with the steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. Add slices of French bread on the side. Enjoy your meal!
