Preparing the Salad

Wash and Chop Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Tear or chop it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
Making the Caesar Dressing

Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the minced garlic, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Making the Croutons

Prepare the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

Bake the Croutons
Spread the bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, tossing halfway through.
Assembling the Salad

Toss the Salad
Once the croutons are cool, add the romaine lettuce to a large bowl. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the lettuce and toss well to combine.

Top the salad with the freshly baked croutons and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
