Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare Brussels Sprouts
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts, then toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 2
Roast Brussels Sprouts
Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- 3
Caramelize Onions
In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil and sliced onions. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until the onions are soft and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 4
Prepare Pizza Dough
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 5
Assemble Pizza
Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the pizza dough. Layer the roasted Brussels sprouts on top, followed by the shredded mozzarella cheese. Drizzle truffle oil over the cheese.
- 6
Bake Pizza
Bake the pizza in the oven at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- 7
Finish and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and drizzle balsamic glaze over the top. Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
