Main Ingredients

Method

Braised Short Rib

  1. 1

    Prepare the Short Ribs

Season the short ribs with salt and pepper. Sear them in a hot pan until browned on all sides.

  2. 2

    Braise the Short Ribs

Add enough water or beef broth to cover the short ribs. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours until tender.

  3. 3

    Shred the Short Ribs

Once cooked, remove the short ribs from the pot and shred the meat, discarding bones and excess fat.

Fried Rice

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the carrots and scallions. Set aside.

  2. 5

    Stir-Fry the Ingredients

In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped carrots and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 6

    Add Peas and Rice

Add the frozen peas and cooked rice to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  4. 7

    Incorporate Braised Short Ribs

Add the shredded short ribs to the skillet along with ginger and soy sauce. Mix thoroughly and cook for another 3-5 minutes.

  5. 8

    Finish with Scallions

Add chopped scallions and stir-fry for an additional minute. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Eggs

  1. 9

Cook the Sunny Side Up Eggs

In a separate non-stick skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes.

Serve

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

Serve the fried rice hot, topped with a sunny side up egg.
