Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the egg batter

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Slice the Hawaiian rolls

Carefully slice each Hawaiian roll in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Soak the rolls

Dip each half of the Hawaiian roll into the egg batter, ensuring they are fully coated but not overly soggy.

  2. 4

    Cook the French toast

Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a little butter or oil. Place the soaked rolls cut-side down on the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and serve

Remove the French toast from the skillet and place on a plate. Top with whipped cream, fresh berries, and drizzle with maple syrup. Serve immediately.
